Imodium capsules are used to treat:
- Sudden short-lived (acute) attacks of diarrhoea in adults and children over 8 years of age
- Long-lasting (chronic) diarrhoea in adults.
Directions
Acute diarrhoea; acute episodes of diarrhoea associated with irritable bowel syndrome in adults aged 18 years and over following initial diagnosis by doctor
Adults and children over 12 years: Two initially followed, if necessary, by 1 after each loose stool. Maximum of 6 in 24 hours.
Ingredient
loperamide hydrochloride 2mg , lactose, maize starch, talc and magnesium stearate. The capsule itself is made up of titanium dioxide (E171), iron oxides (E172), indigo carmine (E132), erythrosine (E127) and gelatin.
